Grade II Listed Building – The Cottage

A Grade II Listed Building  within the Greenbelt in Maidenhead.

The house was seriously neglected by the previous owner and was close to being totally dilapidated. Despite this project having many challenges, including; planning delays, roof leaks, damaged to the fabric from trees, Lockdown material delays we are pleased to see it reach a conclusion.

The Cottage has been completely refurbished and transformed fit for habitation – Consent was granted by appeal for the demolition of a single storey rear extension which was unsympathetic (and falling down with some DIY rainwater harvesting installed by the previous owner) with a part single/part two storey rear extension together with various works inside and out to the existing fabric. This included repointing the existing masonry, plus repairs to the roof structure and installing handmade plain clay roof tiles.
