Eton College, Bekynton

Bekynon is the College’s Dining Hall which serves the Boys, Masters and wider support staff working at the College. The building provides various meeting spaces for school users such as parents’ evenings, small functions and modest catered events. Designed by Powell & Moya, it is a single-storey, flat-roof building comprising of a steel frame cantilevered over a shallow moat with walkways linking to wings of ancillary buildings surrounding it. White panel render finish with exposed black steel frame and distinctive timber windows + doors. It opened in 1974.

CJA were appointed by Eton College for external and internal alterations to improve the Dining Room 4, general storage and female WC’s plus site supervision for the reroofing of the considerable flat roof with the installation of 188 solar panels onto the roof.
